Frequently asked questions

Q: What are the arrival and departure times?

A: Arrival time is normally after 3pm and check-out at 10am.

Q: What do you provide?

A: When you stay in self-catering accommodation somewhere it's often difficult to know what you need to take with you. You don't want to forget any items you might need, but at the same time you don't want to needlessly duplicate items which you find are already there.  Here is a list of what we provide:

  • Bedding (including anti-allergy duvets and pillows)
  • Black out blinds in all bedrooms
  • Towels
  • Hairdryer
  • The White Company shower gel
  • The White Company shampoo
  • The White Company conditioner
  • Hand soap
  • Toilet roll x1 per bathroom
  • Kitchen roll x1
  • Washing-up liquid
  • Dishwasher tablets x4
  • Kitchen cleaner
  • Dish cloth x1
  • Tea towel x1
  • Black sacks x2
  • Oven mitten
  • Aluminium foil
  • Clingfilm
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Sugar
  • Tea
  • Coffee (pods for the Nespresso machine)
  • Television with Freeview
  • Initial supply of logs, kindling and firelighters

There is also a complimentary washing machine and tumble dryer in the communal laundry as well as a chest freezer.

Q: What do you provide for children?

A: The barns and farm are a wonderful place for children.  Our grandchildren love spending time with the cows and roaming the countryside.  We have a climbing frame next to the barns and plenty of trees to climb in the woods.  We can provide a cot, highchair and potty as well as books and toys.  There is also a trike and a buggy that can cope with some "off road" action.  Please let us know what you need when you make your booking.

Q: Do you allow pets?

A: Well-trained dogs are welcome but please discuss with us first.  There will be an additional charge for each pet. See "Pet Friendly Holidays" for more information.
