Farm Holidays

Ancient woodlands, friendly cows and even a working vineyard. There is plenty of agricultural adventure to experience on a Lordship’s Barns farm holiday.  The barns are set on 600 acres of rolling countryside on a working farm.  The only sounds that will interrupt your tranquility are the gentle mooing of cows and the occasional rumble of a tractor.

Despite being less than an hour from London and half an hour from Stansted Airport, Lordship’s Barns offer a luxurious farm holiday away from it all.  Situated on a farm in a quiet, rural area with unbroken views over the countryside. There are cattle that still keep the atmosphere of the farm alive but peace and quiet are assured.

Come and say hello to the beautiful Aberdeen Angus cows that graze our land or take a walk through our fields of golden barley and vivid yellow oilseed rape.  Behind the Barns is our vineyard of 2 acres on chalky soil .  The vines, which were planted nine years ago, produce pinot noir grapes which are turned into bottles of English sparkling wine.  We can't call it “Champagne” but it tastes as good. If you are interested in tasting a glass for yourselves please go to  Hattingley Valley to find out more. The winery produces prize-winning sparkling using our grapes.  Feel free to go and take a look at the vines.  If you see Chris, our Vineyard Manager, please ask him any questions you may have.

We take our role as countryside custodians very seriously and have planted hundreds of trees.  These, coupled with our acres of more ancient woodland, provide a great space for exploration and discovery.

A farm holiday with us offers something for all seasons: bluebell woods in the Springtime; watching the harvest being brought in in the late Summer sun.  Autumn brings blackberries and grape picking in our vineyard.  Winter is magical with wood burning stoves inside and frosty walks to tempt you outside.
